This is like the Russian version of the “British Invasion,” albeit minus the black-masked infantrymen, the thugs roaming the streets, and the tanks with the black tape over the license plates. (Do countries actually issue license plates to their mobile artillery vehicles?).

If you haven’t seen their interview with Colbert, it’s well worth the time. They do have a kind of mordant wit similar to the Beatles at their best.
