Speaking of dogies, this little stray shouldn’t go uncommented on, so I’ll say that I doubtless saw this worthy film on black and white t.v. at some point as a kid, and much later at least skimmed Richard White’s 1991 book on the American West, and I never made the connection between the wry book title and the clever song lyric. It’s off to Idaho for me, I guess.
